Director of Media Production - Job Description

Purpose: To provide for the graphic and video needs of Heritage Baptist Church in order that all ministries may display quality promotional, educational, and inspirational materials so that the body of Christ may function better through clear and creative communication. The Director of Media Productions will also help cultivate an online presence via the HBC website and social media in order to provide communication to both the local body and also those who may not know Christ online.


Responsibilities:

• Work with each ministry to coordinate production of all promotional videos, graphics, and handouts based upon guidelines in the promotional manual.
  
  
• Create quality graphics based upon HBC imaging guidelines.

• Create quality videos that properly represent Christ and HBC.
  
  
• Coordinate the recording of interviews, b-roll, training, and special events.
  
  
• Set up recording sessions including appropriate lighting and sound depending on the context.
  
  
• Maintain equipment and serve as the gatekeeper to ministries who are wanting to reserve recording equipment.
  
  
• Teach and train other ministry leaders to record/edit videos for training and/or promotional items when necessary.
  
  
• Teach and train other ministry leaders to create graphics when necessary.
  
  
• Create daily verse graphics & other content for HBC social media accounts.
  
  
• Schedule social media posts to HBC Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  
  
• Help maintain and add HBC groups for Discipleship Communities & Ministry Teams on Facebook, including the creation of profile and cover photos.
  
  
• Respond to social media comments and messages when appropriate.
  
  
• Maintain and schedule digital signage throughout the church.
  
  
• Maintain and create directional and informational signs for the church.
  
  

Requirements:

• Love for Christ and His church.
  
  
• Agreement with Heritage Baptist Church’s primary points of doctrine & humility in regards to secondary issues.
  
  
• Humble and teachable spirit.
  
  
• Works well in a team environment.
  
  
• Highly motivated and organized in order to create quality content within a reasonable timeframe.
  
  
• Experience working with Adobe’s Creative Cloud programs including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro. Experience with After Effects is a plus.
  
  
• Basic understanding of various Google systems, including Google Docs and Gmail.
